WHAT IS CEREC?

CEREC is a technology for restoring damaged teeth, using 3D scanning and CAD/CAM, the restorations such as Crown, Inlay, Onlay, or Veneer can be completed in a single visit to the doctor’s office. The restoration is produced from the high-grade ceramic material which is compatible with the natural tissue in your mouth or produced from hybrid composite. It makes your teeth stronger while keeping your teeth looking natural and beautiful.

THE CEREC PROCESS

The doctor will first evaluate the damaged tooth, if the tooth is suitable for CEREC restoration, the doctor will prepare the tooth then use a 3D scanning camera to take a photo of your tooth. Using CEREC’s proprietary software, your restoration will be designed according to your tooth’s appropriate form and function. Then, CEREC will use diamond burs to create your restoration out of a piece of ceramic. Finally, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry.
